WE’RE READY TO BELIEVE YOU: GHOSTBUSTERS 40TH ANNIVERSARY Set to Premiere at Soho Int’l Film Festival
[New York, NY — August 20, 2024] Behind the Rabbit Productions is pleased to announce We’re Ready to Believe You: Ghostbusters 40th Anniversary, a short documentary celebrating the 40th anniversary of the 1984 sci-fi/comedy Ghostbusters, is set to make its world premiere at this year’s Soho International Film Festival, running from September 17th-23rd.
Ghostbusters was directed by Ivan Reitman and stars Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis, and Ernie Hudson as paranormal investigators and eliminators in New York City. We’re Ready to Believe You features interviews with film writer, Eric McClanahan, filmmaker/podcaster Cameron Kit, and members of NYC Ghostbusters (a charity group that pays homage to the movie franchise) Jennette Richie, Randy Unger, and Matt Haberman. The subjects speak about their experience with the film, its impact and legacy.
“We’re so excited to premiere at Soho International Film Festival,” said director Jason Godbey. “Soho is a festival we’ve had a relationship since 2018 when we first covered them for our vodcast/television show, No Rest for the Weekend. We’re Ready to Believe You is a movie for Ghostbusters fans who’ve been enjoying, laughing, and quoting the film since 1984.”
A screening date is yet to be announced, but follow us here for updates or visit the festival website for schedule and ticket information.
