Tribeca Film Festival 2023 Recap Part II

This week we continue our No Rest for the Fest coverage of the Tribeca Film Festival. On this episode we take you back to the red carpet for a screening of Steve Buscemi’s latest film, The Listener where Buscemi is joined by a surprise guest. Then we’ll take you to the North American premiere for The Adults starring Michael Cera and Anoop Desai.
Our coverage continues with two documentaries: The League, a new documentary about the Negro Baseball Leagues featuring interviews with producer, Nina Dobrev and director Sam Pollard, and Milli Vanilli, a documentary about the rise and fall of the 90s pop duo featuring an interview with director Luke Korem and former Milli Vanilli member, Fabrice Morvan.
Our featured interview this week is Shila Ommi who plays Cinder Lumen in Pixar’s Elemental which screened at Tribeca as well. Ommi who also stars in the series, Tehran talks about working with director Peter Sohn and the Pixar experience.
Next week we’ll continue our red carpet coverage of the 2023 Tribeca Film Festival with Choir, the new documentary series coming to Disney Plus about the Detroit Youth Choir. We’ll also take you to the premiere of Blood & Dust, a new crime drama starring Kit Harrington and Josh Lucas as well as the red carpet of Fresh Kills, a new feature film about the women of the mafia from director Jennifer Esposito.
