Movie Reviews: Overlook Film Festival 2024

On this episode film writer Eric McClanahan (Collider, Ain’t It Cool News) reviews some of the films from this year’s Overlook Film Festival including: All You Need Is Death, Arcadian starring Nicolas Cage, Humanist Vampire Seeking Consenting Suicidal Person, and Things Will Be Different.

The Overlook Film Festival ran in New Orleans, Louisiana this April and is a “celebration of all things horror.” There was a wide selection of films, events, and special guests including Mike Flanagan ( The Fall of the House of Usher, Doctor Sleep) and horror legend Barbara Crampton ( Suitable Flesh, Re-Animator). It’s a festival that really seems dedicated to the fans of the horror and sci-fi genres.

Unfortunately we weren’t able to get to New Orleans to experience the festival in person, but our own Eric McClanahan was able to watch the films online to give you an inside look some great horror films. You’ll find Eric’s written reviews here.
