Festival season continues with this episode of No Rest for the Weekend as we take you to the red carpet of the Harlem International Film Festival 2023. On this episode, we interview the filmmakers and stars of the festival including directors of In the Weeds Doug E. Doug and Clayton Allis and the cast of the Starz series, Run the World.

In the Weeds which made its world premiere at the festival, is the story of a young woman from Harlem who falls for a handsome man from London during the height of the pandemic. Doug E. Doug plays her suspicious father desperate to make amends.

The first two episodes of the second season of Run the World premiered at the festival as well. The story chronicles the life and times of a group of friends in Harlem in a Sex in the City-esque dramedy. We interviewed the stars of the series: Amber Stevens West, Bresha Webb, Corbin Reid, Sasha Hutchings, and Isha Blakker.
