On this episode we bring you two exciting filmmakers on their way to the Slamdance Film Festival: Shujaat Saudagar, director of The Underbug and Marek Kozakiewicz director of Silent Love.
The Underbug was made during the Covid 19 lockdown in India and is set against the backdrop of civil unrest and riots. It’s the story of two men who meet in a deserted house on the eve of its Independence Day The two rioters take refuge sorting out their differences when they notice an eerie presence in the house.
Silent Love is a documentary that follows Aga who now has to take care of her teenage brother, Milosz after their mother’s death, but there is one thing she isn’t telling him about: her ongoing relationship with Maja. It’s the story of an unconventional family is set against the backdrop of a small, conservative, village in Poland.
