The Long Island International Film Expo (LIIFE) has announced their award nominees for the festival’s 25th Anniversary edition happening from July 13–17th at the historic Bellmore Movies in Bellmore, New York. This year’s festival will featurefilms from around the globe as well as panels and networking forums.

Some highlighted selections for the festival include: Cool For You (Produced by Matthew Modine), John Gray’s The Little Drummer Boy (starring Xander Berkeley), Hot Water On Long Island, Hudson Falls (starring William Sadler, Richard Kind, Jessica Hect, Robert John Burke, and Tara Westwood), Montauk77, UFO Club, Launch At Paradise (starring Catherine Curtin) and Wishlab Inc. (starring Chad L. Coleman of The Walking Dead,) who will be appearing in person and signing autographs/merchandise at the event. LIIFE is proud to feature 22 films made by Long Islanders, 12 World Premieres, 4 US Premieres, 39 New York Premieres, 36 Long Island Premieres, and Films from 12 countries.

There are also 40 Female Directors, a record for LIIFE. In addition to previously announced 2022 Festival Honorees Jeff Waxman of ( Don’t Look Up) is being honored for Excellence In Film And TV, and Catherine Curtin ( Orange is the New Black/Stranger Things) is being honored for Excellence In Creative Achievement. Long time WNBC-4 Newscaster Greg Cergol will be honored for Excellence In Broadcasting, and the annual Special Recognition Awards which include the Alan Fortunoff Humanitarian Film Award, the Jury Award for Best Animation, and the inaugural Marc Stein Comedy Award will be announced at the Closing Night Awards ceremony.
